Party & Holiday Cracker Trays

The first thing we want to do when we open a jar of Miss Bonnie's Gourmet Cheese Spread is get out the crackers.  That's where I thought we would start for the Party & Holiday Serving Tips.  Crackers are just the beginning.  Have I got some yummy ideas for you.

Miss Bonnie's Stuffed "Pepperdews"

What is a Pepperdew you ask?  They are bite size spicy peppers that you just have to taste.  You can find Pepperdews on the Deli Olive Bar at most Richmond and Charlottesville Krogers.  I stuffed these with my Pimento spread.  My Jalapeño Cheese Spread is my favorite for the Pepperdews.  Add them to your mixed party tray to add color.  Your guests will love them.  Side Note:   I introduced Miss Bonnie's Stuffed Peperdews during a wine tasting at the Ivymont Square Midlothian Kroger.  They were such a big hit, the store ordered 10 cases of Peperdews (that's a lot of Peperdews).  Those 10 cases of Peperdews sold out in a week.  Don't miss trying these wonderful little spicy peppers stuffed with Miss Bonnie's Gourmet Cheese Spreads.  Yum Yum!

"Miss Bonnie's Party & Holiday Cheese Balls"

For some time now Pam the Cheese Steward at the Ivymont Midlothian Kroger has been asking me about crafting Miss Bonnie's Cheese Balls.  Well, we tried it.  The Midlothian Kroger hosts a wine tasting every Friday afternoon. Pam and I created two Cheese Balls for the wine tasting.  We used chopped walnuts on the Jalapeño Cheese Ball, and chopped pecans on the Pimento Cheese Ball.  In this photo I topped the Walnut Pimento Cheese Ball with a Cranberry Celebration drizzle.  "Cranberry Celebration" is a Kroger Private Selection deli product.  They were both a big hit.  Both Miss Bonnie's Cheese Balls were devoured.  One jar of Miss Bonnie's Cheese makes a nice sized half pound Cheese Ball.  So easy, and so yummy.  For those that can't eat nuts, I have posted a mixed dried fruit Cheese Ball later in the Holiday Serving Tips (tastes like cheese cake).  If you have never made a Cheese Ball, it's so easy.  Spoon the Cheese out of the Jar into a small cereal sized bowl.  Pick up the cheese and form it into a ball.  Open your bag of chopped nuts and put some in your hand.  Pat the nuts onto the Cheese Ball.  Rolling the nuts onto the ball doesn't work as well for me.  Thats it!  Put on a small dish and cover with clear wrap in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

"Miss Bonnie's Filled Crescent Rolls"

Crescent Rolls offer endless possibilities for creating sensational appetizers, snacks, and entrees.  For this one I opened my Crescent Roll dough package and spread both Miss Bonnie's Gourmet Pimento and Gourmet Jalapeño Cheese onto each crescent pastry triangle.  I use the Kroger Brand Crescent Roll Dough that comes in the tube.  Some I filled only with Miss Bonnie's Cheese, so I used more cheese.  For the others, I used Red Eye Country Ham, and Kroger Private Selection Black Forest Ham.  You can fill with any type of meat, seafood(cooked shrimp, crab meat, or cooked oysters), and don't forget raw veggie combinations.  Roll up each triangle and pinch off the ends so as the cheese melts it won't seep out while baking.  Put in preheated oven at 375 degrees and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until they begin to brown.  Serve whole or cut in 2 or 3 pieces.  Allow to cool for 10 minutes before cutting.   So Easy, So Fast, and So Good.  There is nothing quite like the smell of Pastry cooking in the oven.  Enjoy!!!

"Miss Bonnie's Cheesey Dip Meatballs"

Swedish, Italian, Homemade or Store Bought, Meatballs are always a party or get together favorite.  The Meatballs in this photo are Kroger Brand "Meals Made Simple" Swedish Style.  These are great party meatballs, and can be heated in the oven or microwave.  Need a Fondue Cheese?  Miss Bonnie's Gourmet Cheese Spreads evolve into another realm of yummy when melted in a Fondue Pot or Warming Dish.  I used small butter warmers here.  I melted the Pimento and the Jalapeño spread in the microwave first.  Once melted, fill your fondue pot or warming dish to maintain consistency.  You can warm your Meatballs in a saucepan with barbecue sauce, or serve as I have pictured here.  We served "Miss Bonnie's Cheesey Dip Meatballs" during a product demonstration at Kroger.  So many Kroger shoppers asked where the to find the "Meals Made Simple" Meatballs, we lost count.

"Miss Bonnie's Cheesecake Fruit Only Cheese Ball"

Cheesecake Cheese Ball you say?  This wonderful Miss Bonnie's Party and  Holiday Serving Tip idea came to me by chance.  While we were sampling Miss Bonnie's Pecan and Walnut Cheese Balls, a number of Kroger customers told us they were allergic to nuts.  Why not a Cheese Ball with Fruit only?  I put on my shopping shoes, and Miss Bonnie's Cheesecake Fruit Only Cheese Ball has been another big hit with Kroger shoppers.  With the help of Chef Lisa at the Brandermill Kroger, we created a fabulous, but different Fruit Mix for this Sweet and Tart Wonderful Cheese Ball.  Serve on Graham Crackers or Tea Biscuits.  Tastes like Cheesecake.  It really does !   Scroll down for the Recipe.

"Miss Bonnie's Ground Turkey Scoops"
There are a number of ways to craft this double yum yum recipe.  In the photo I used frozen ground Turkey Sausage and Miss Bonnie's Jalapeño Pepper Cheese Spread.  If you can't find Turkey Sausage use fresh or frozen ground turkey, and add Italian Seasoning (recipe below).  We have sampled the Ground Turkey Scoops using both Turkey Sausage, and Plain Ground Turkey with Italian Seasoning.  Both have been a big hit with Kroger customers.  Any type of sausage can be used, and either Miss Bonnie's Pimento, or Jalapeño Cheese Spreads are yummy.  I like the spicy kick combining the Turkey Sausage or Plain Ground Turkey and Italian Seasoning with the Jalapeño Cheese.  This yummy recipe will be a big hit if you are having guests over, or for something to take to New Years or Football Game gatherings.
